After a week off last week, we are back to nornal this week with an indoor game on Thursday.
See you all there.
Teams
Whites: Roy, Nigel, Peter, Jim, David, Andy
Colours: Mark, Bob, Phil, David, Ian, Phil2
It was a close game, but the whites were always on top. They took a 2 goal lead before Phil struck a shot against the right-hand post but the colours need to work harder, especially Phil, who was guilty of a few mistakes at the back.
Peter was unlucky with a shot that hit both posts but still managed to stay out.
Teams
Whites: Roy, Nigel, Peter, Jim, Craig, Andy
Colours: Keith (20 mins), Mark, Bob, Phil, David, Ian, Matthew
With today’s Local Government Elections taking over the sports hall we were outside tonight. It was a nice night for it. Phil2 was away but Phil returned and Ian’s son, Matthew made his first appearance of the season.
Phil started off in goal for the colours and the game was evenly matched - with Keith up front for the colours and David a ball boy for the first quarter.
Keith went off and was replaced by David. By this point the colours were playing well and were two goals up. It just wasn’t like them - playing so well outdoors! Bob made an excellent save, diving to his left…Phil2-style!
As the game went on the whites were trying to claw their way back into the game and Phil let in a couple during his second spell but the colours were always well in front.
Teams
Whites: Roy, Nigel, Peter, Jim, Ian
Colours: Keith, Lewis, Mark, Phil2, Phil
The colours had a nightmare game, badly missing Bob. Ian switched over to the whites to even the sides. The whites had a good start and soon took the lead. When they were 3-0 up the colours got one back with a back-heeled backpass from Peter that Jim couldn’t keep out.
Keith and Lewis formed a partnership for the colours but the colours couldn’t find a way through the whites 10-man defence.
